OUTCOME & FOLLOW-UP

Following the implant placement and prosthetic rehabilitation, the patient received a full set of fixed teeth supported by four implants.

The final prosthesis restored both chewing function and smile aesthetics.

The patient was able to regain confidence while speaking and smiling.

Because the prosthesis is screw-retained, it offers excellent stability while also allowing easy retrieval if future maintenance is needed.

The final result shows a natural-looking smile with improved facial aesthetics and functional bite support.

PROCEDURE SUMMARY

The surgical procedure was performed using the All-on-4 protocol.

Two implants were placed in a straight position in the anterior region, while the two posterior implants were tilted at approximately 45 degrees.

This angulation improves implant stability and allows better distribution of chewing forces.

Once the implants were placed, multi-unit abutments were attached.

These abutments allow the placement of screw-retained prosthetic teeth instead of cement-retained restorations.

The prosthetic teeth are fixed onto the implants using screws through small channels in the prosthesis.

These screw channels are later sealed with composite material.

One major advantage of this system is retrievability.

If maintenance or adjustments are required in the future, the prosthesis can be easily removed by accessing the screws.

Using this advanced implant technique, the entire rehabilitation can typically be completed within about one week.

DIAGNOSIS & PLANNING

A detailed clinical examination and radiographic assessment were carried out to evaluate the patient’s bone quality and jaw condition.

The diagnostic imaging showed that the available bone structure was sufficient to support implant placement.

Based on the bone condition, the treatment team recommended the All-on-4 dental implant concept, which allows full arch rehabilitation using four strategically placed implants.

In this technique:

• Two implants are placed in a straight vertical position in the anterior region.

• Two implants are tilted at approximately 30–45 degrees in the posterior region.

This angulation maximizes the use of available bone and avoids the need for additional grafting procedures.

A treatment plan was prepared to place four implants with multi-unit abutments, which allow the placement of screw-retained fixed prosthetic teeth.

CHIEF COMPLAINT

Nadendla Sunitha, a patient in the age group of 35–40 years from Guntur, visited our clinic seeking a permanent solution for multiple missing teeth.

She was experiencing difficulty while chewing and was unhappy with the appearance of her smile due to the absence of teeth.

On clinical evaluation, it was observed that the patient had an edentulous condition affecting the dental arch, which significantly impacted her oral function and confidence.

The patient was looking for a fixed teeth solution instead of removable dentures.

After discussing possible treatment options, the patient expressed interest in a long-term and stable solution that could restore both function and aesthetics.
