Outcome & Follow-Up

The entire full-mouth implant rehabilitation was completed within just four days, allowing the patient to receive fixed teeth in an extremely short period.

During his stay in Vijayawada:

  • The patient was provided with clean, comfortable, and free accommodation.

  • Transportation between the clinic and accommodation was arranged free of cost.

After treatment completion, the patient returned to Coimbatore, where he can continue with routine dental checkups and cleaning appointments locally for years to come.

The patient expressed great satisfaction with:

  • The speed of treatment

  • The quality of implant work

  • The final smile transformation

His new fixed zirconia teeth restored both function and confidence, allowing him to smile and eat comfortably again.

Procedure Summary

The treatment began with the removal of the remaining non-salvageable teeth, followed by the placement of implants in both jaws.

Implant Placement

A total of twelve implants were placed:

  • Six implants in the maxilla

  • Six implants in the mandible

These implants were Swiss-made root-form implants called ROOTT R, known for their precision engineering and reliability.

Multi-unit abutments were attached to the implants to allow correct prosthetic angulation.

Bar Framework Placement

After implant placement, a custom cobalt chromium I-bar framework was fabricated and fitted over the implants.

This bar serves several important functions:

  • Provides strong structural support

  • Prevents fracture risk in zirconia prosthesis

  • Distributes chewing forces evenly across implants

Zirconia Teeth Placement

Once the bar framework was secured, the final screw-retained zirconia teeth prosthesis was placed.

Zirconia teeth were selected

because they provide:

  • High durability

  • Natural aesthetics

  • Excellent resistance to wear

The prosthesis was designed to be screw-retained, ensuring that it can be easily removed for maintenance if required.

Diagnosis & Treatment Planning

Clinical examination and radiographic evaluation confirmed that the remaining teeth were unsuitable for long-term preservation.

Key findings included:

  • Multiple non-restorable teeth and root stumps

  • Severe mobility of remaining teeth

  • Mandibular bone defect

  • Need for full mouth implant rehabilitation.

Because the patient wanted fixed teeth immediately, a treatment plan involving Immediate Loading All-on-6 Dental Implants was selected.

Final Treatment Plan

Upper Jaw (Maxilla)

  • Placement of six conventional Swiss root-form implants

  • Multi-unit abutments placed for prosthetic alignment

Lower Jaw (Mandible)

  • Placement of six implants for full arch support

  • Multi-unit abutments placed for screw-retained prosthesis

To ensure long-term strength and stability, the prosthesis design included:

  • Cobalt chromium bar framework (I-bar)

  • Screw-retained zirconia teeth set

This design provides:

  • Excellent strength

  • Even load distribution

  • Retrievability for maintenance

Chief Complaint

Sri Ramaswamy, a patient from Coimbatore, visited Your Dentist Advanced Dental & Maxillo-Facial Centre in Vijayawada seeking a permanent solution for his severely damaged teeth.

He had already undergone multiple extractions locally in Coimbatore. By the time he arrived at our clinic, he was left with only eight remaining teeth, and seven of them were severely mobile.

In addition:

  • Several root stumps were present in the upper jaw

  • The remaining teeth had poor prognosis

  • The patient had significant bone defects in the mandible

Due to the advanced condition of his dentition, the remaining teeth were not salvageable, and the patient required complete full mouth rehabilitation.

The patient travelled to Vijayawada specifically for advanced implant treatment with fixed teeth in a short time frame.
