Outcome & Follow-Up

Within one week of implant placement, the patient received screw-retained hybrid fixed teeth.

The prosthesis included:

  • Cobalt chromium reinforcement bars

  • Hybrid denture design

  • Imported VITA teeth set

Hybrid dentures are ideal during the early implant healing phase because they provide soft loading, which reduces stress on:

  • Newly placed implants

  • Jaw joints (temporomandibular joints)

The patient quickly adapted to the new teeth and was able to eat comfortably within the first week.

The entire treatment was completed within a single week, allowing the patient to return to the United States within 10 days, as required for his work schedule.

Another major advantage for the patient was the cost effectiveness of the treatment, which was significantly lower compared to the cost of similar implant treatments in the United States.

The patient was extremely satisfied with the result and expressed his willingness to recommend and refer other patients in the future.

Procedure Summary

The surgery was performed using fully guided implant surgery with customized surgical guides.

Before the procedure, virtual implant planning was performed digitally. The implants were positioned in software first, ensuring optimal angulation and bone engagement.

A 3D-printed surgical guide was then used during surgery to place the implants precisely as planned.

Surgical Highlights

  • Flapless keyhole implant surgery

  • No large gum opening

  • No stitches required

  • Extremely precise implant positioning

  • Stable support for the final hybrid prosthesis

Upper Jaw

  • Four implants placed in anterior region

  • One pterygoid implant engaged posteriorly

Final configuration:

  • All-on-5 implants in the maxilla

  • All-on-6 implants in the mandible

Because the procedure was minimally invasive, the gum tissues healed within three days and the patient experienced almost no pain or swelling.

Diagnosis & Treatment Planning

Clinical examination and radiographic evaluation showed that the patient had completely edentulous upper and lower jaws.

Key observations included:

  • Severe maxillary sinus pneumatization in the upper jaw

  • Adequate bone available in the lower jaw for multiple implants

  • Limited posterior bone support in the upper jaw

Initially, zygomatic implants were recommended to overcome the sinus limitations. However, the patient was hesitant to undergo zygomatic implant surgery after watching surgical videos online.

After discussing alternatives, the treatment plan was modified to achieve stability without zygomatic implants.

Final Treatment Plan

Upper Jaw (Maxilla)

  • Implants placed in an All-on-4 anterior configuration

  • One pterygoid implant engagement on the left side

  • Resulting in an All-on-5 implant support system

Lower Jaw (Mandible)

  • Six Swiss root-form implants placed for full arch stability

  • Resulting in an All-on-6 configuration

The procedure was planned using a computer-guided static navigation system, allowing the surgery to be performed with high precision and minimal invasiveness.

Chief Complaint

Mr. Altaf, a 52-year-old patient who traveled from the United States, visited our clinic seeking a permanent solution for his missing teeth.

He had already lost all his teeth and had been using removable complete dentures for daily function. Over time, he had tried three different sets of removable dentures, but none of them were comfortable.

The dentures caused several issues including:

  • Poor stability during chewing

  • Difficulty eating comfortably

  • Movement while speaking

  • Lack of confidence while smiling

Since he works as a software engineer in the United States, he had only 10 days of leave and wanted a quick, fixed solution that would allow him to return to work without delay and also would last for decades to come.

He visited our clinic seeking full mouth fixed teeth supported by dental implants.
